Terms of Business
Please read these terms carefully, and print and keep a copy of them for your reference.
Mail Order - How to place an order
Please do not send payment with your order. Send your media together with your instructions, to include your name, address, phone number and email address. Once we have checked your media,
we will contact you with a quotation whenever possible. However, with some types of media (i.e. reel to reel tapes, collections of video tapes for archiving etc), the total amount of
information on the media is unknown until processed. On these occasions you will be quoted the hourly rate for the transfer of information from this material. Depending on your instruction,
we will then either transfer all the media, or transfer as many hours as you request, before contacting you to advise how the work is progressing and for your further instruction.
Your order will be processed and dispatched on receipt of your acceptance of our quotation and your full payment.
Delivery
Quote will include return carriage and packing, charged at cost with a minimum charge of £5.00. Due to the nature of the work involved, time quoted for delivery will be an estimate
only and is not a condition of the agreement, except where you have specificaly requested a delivery deadline and we have excepted your order in writing on that basis. In the unlikely event
of the goods being lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.
OUR LIABILITY TO YOU IN RESPECT OF YOUR ORDER (INCLUDING IN RESPECT OF DELAYED, CORRUPTED, DAMAGED AND LOST ORDERS) IS LIMITED TO THE VALUE OF THE ORDER PLUS THE VALUE OF REPLACEMENT BLANK
MEDIA. IF THE RECORDINGS AND/OR IMAGES YOU SUBMIT ARE OF VALUE, OR YOU ARE USING THE SERVICE FOR BUSINESS PURPOSES, SUCH THAT, IN THE EVENT YOUR RECORDINGS AND/OR IMAGES WERE DAMAGED
DESTROYED OR LOST, YOUR LOSS WOULD EXCEED THAT AMOUNT, YOU SHOULD CONTACT US BEFORE YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER IN ORDER TO DISCUSS TAKING OUT APPROPRIATE INSURANCE (WHICH WILL BE YOUR
RESPONSIBILITY).
Cancellation and Returns
Once you have excepted the quotation and we have commenced work, the order will be exempt from the right to cancel. If you do not except the quotation, you will still be charged for return
carriage and packing, for the return of your media. We may also charge a handling fee which will be no more than £29.00.
Changes to these terms
These terms were last changed on 1st March 2009. These terms will apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will
apply to future orders.
