Tracks - Originally machines and tapes were full track, recording across the full width of the tape.
Then half track allowing two separate mono recordings on each side of a tape, or one single stereo recording.
Finally came quarter track recording which gave four separate mono recordings on a tape, or two seperate stereo recordings.
Tapes are not compatible between these machines.
Playback standards - We can playback and transfer tapes at NAB, IEC and CCIR standards.
Please advise if you are aware what form your tapes were recorded in.
compact cassettes
Introduced by Philips in 1963. Produced in various lengths to a maximum of 2 hours (1 hour each side of a C120 cassette).
We offer discounted rates for transferring collections of audio cassettes.
Please advise if you are aware of any recording process that was used i.e. Dolby etc.
micro cassettes
Commonly used in dictation machines, we can also transfer these tapes to CD.
tape repairs
We can usually carry out a temporary repair to tapes in order to transfer them to CD.
RECORDS.....
We use modern transcription decks to transfer your record(s). The records are carefully cleaned prior to transfer. The transfer is continually monitored and sound level adjustments
made as necessary.
We can transfer entire records, or selected tracks.

All sizes of LP's, EP's and singles.
All speeds including 33 1/3, 45 and 16 rpm (revolutions per minute), or custom set.
shellac
Your 78 rpm records transferred using the latest playing equipment.
Compilations from different sources
We can compile a CD for you from differant audio sources, record tracks or cassette tape extracts, with your own customized play list.
Compilations from various CD tracks
We can compile a CD from various CD tracks in your preferred order.
We can also cut, or fade in or out, the tracks to your instruction. Just supply the counter readings for the points at which you want the cut / fade to occur.
What kinds of recordings could be preserved?
- Radio broadcasts, band demo tapes, old and rare records and tapes.
- Speeches and lectures can be transferred to CD and duplicated for distribution. This is particularly useful for professors and professional speakers who would like to make
their intellectual properties available to their audiences.
- Many schools have record and tape based educational materials that can not be used because of lack of playback resources.
- Recordings of family members young and old.

preserved.
Copies of your CD's
We can digitally produce copies of your CD's at any time without loss of quality.
We can also produce compilation CD's from these discs.
We will hold digital masters of your recordings for 30 days (or longer on request).
Should you require further copies during this time simply phone or email us with your requirements.
After this time please return you master CD's for copying.
We can also produce copies on cassette tapes.

We will not reproduce current copyrighted materials unless
you are the owner of the copyright or have express written permission from the
copyright owners.
The Customer is solely responsible for the legality of
all materials and content supplied to us. By accepting and
using our service, the Customer pledges that any and all materials and
content supplied to us for whatever reason in no way infringes on any
copyright, trademark, patent, or other proprietary rights, and complies with all
applicable UK laws related or subject to audio and visual materials.Your recordings must be for your own personal and
domestic use and cannot be sold or transferred.
Mail order...
As with all our services, if you cannot call in personally, you can send your tapes and records to us by mail or courier. We recommend using the Post Office's 'Special Delivery'
service which guarantees next day delivery with insurance, and has to be signed for.
We will return your tapes / records along with your CD(s),
and a digital master of your disc(s) will be held for 30 days.
As we transfer your original recording to CD,
you will be able to use and enjoy the recording for years to come.
